Well i came online just to honour my committment of writing a music review of Rock On, but found Rishav's post and was filled wid a different kind of joy, joy of growing up. Anyway, thats personal and now i present to u guys, my IInd professional review and this time a music review.
Rock On!!! has 8 songs, a varied mix of genres and blends. To rate the music i wd give 6/10 coz thr r couple of songs which i did nt like at all. While some are just so different that u may be hearing this kind of hindi music for the fst time in ur life. I wd start by writing abt each one of them. But for those of u nt willing to read it all "tum ho toh" is the best song of the album Read On guys..............
The album starts with the song "Socha Hai" demonstrating good lyrics and music. The song is imaginary and its lyrics are beautiful and a soft rock kind of song is soothing to ear.
"Peechle Saat Dino Mai" - This song is amazing and one of its kind in Hindi Music Industry. A rock song in Hindi which blows ur mind away instantly. The lines Kabhi khud pe hasa mai aur kabhi khud pe roya are just amazing. For those nt acquainted wid rock, u wil take two three hearing of this song to love it.
"Rock On" - Already showing in trailers in al the music channels is a good song, with Farhan Akhtar behind the mike. I am sure its gonna be his movie, and wil mark a birth of next Raj Kapoor (since he can sing, dance, direct adn act too)
"Yeh tumhari meri baatein"- a decent romantic song which i liked may be more coz it came after two rock songs. The song is soothing and is well written and sung.
"Zehreelay"- crap
"Tum ho toh"- The best song in the album in lines of tum se hi of Jab we met. Amazing lyrics and has been sung brilliantly too. This song is going to be the next big hit.
"Pichle Saat Dino Live"- Good, since the original has been rated the same.
"Phir Dekhiye" - A romantic no., which is average.
